Our story
From transport and auctions to industrial surplus
Following a background in transport, Russell Lewis established West Oz Surplus in 1994. The business expanded from auctions and salvage into bearings, equipment and industrial surplus, with the family joining as it grew.
Today, Mining & Industrial Surplus makes new and second-hand stock from inventory stocktakes, project wind-ups and yard clear-outs easier to find and put back to work.

Melanie Wellstead
Warehouse and customer enquiries
Melanie has worked across the business since 1997 and now manages warehouse inventory and customer enquiries at Burlington Street.
